Let’s be real — there’s nothing better than sinking into a beautifully layered bed. It’s where style meets comfort, and where your bedroom transforms into a retreat.
We believe your bed should feel like an escape — so here’s your no-fuss guide to layering it like a pro. (Spoiler: it’s easier than you think).
It all begins with the basics; A comfy mattress, a soft mattress topper for that cloud-like feel and a soft, breathable set of sheets. We love natural fibres like Australian cotton and French flax linen; perfect for all round year comfort and seriously soft to sleep in.
Next up? A coverlet or blanket.
Fold it across the middle of the bed or lay it flat for a clean, relaxed vibe. Try a neutral tone like stone, oat, or soft grey — it adds subtle depth and makes layering feel effortless.
Choose a quilt or duvet that suits your season (light in summer, lofty in winter). Style it folded at the foot of the bed or drape it full for a luxe hotel look.
Keep your quilt cover colour subtle, or go bold if you want the bed to pop in your space.
This is where things get fun. Here’s our winning combo for a queen size bed.
Keep the palette cohesive, and aim for odd numbers — it’s a stylist’s trick for that polished, layered look.
Finish strong with a textured throw.
Drape it, fold it, scrunch it — whatever feels right. This element adds instant warmth and ties it all together.
Your bed = your vibe.
Earthy tones, soft neutrals, warm terracotta’s or deep moody hues — go with colours that make you feel good. Layering is as much about you as it is about design.
Remember, layering your bed isn’t about following rules — it’s about creating a space that’s stylish, comfortable, and unapologetically yours.
