Spring Home Décor Trends We're Loving

Say hello to Zen interiors and raw tones

As the weather slowly warms up, interiors are being transformed into relaxing retreats with tranquil makeovers. Homes are becoming rich in colour and texture, with a focus on sustainable décor. Stepping away from fast furniture, people are looking to furnish their homes with quality pieces that will have longevity or repurposing vintage treasures for a touch of traditional charm.

Keep reading as we take a deep dive into the top 3 interior design trends for Spring 2023.

Soothing Tones

This season, people are creating warm, serene interiors influenced by the Zen way of living. Colours have the power to evoke certain emotions and moods, and by carefully choosing a palette that promotes relaxation, homes are able to establish a peaceful atmosphere.

Rather than opting for bold and vibrant hues, homes are gravitating towards more harmonising colours such as earthy beige, taupe, and olive-green shades. These colors have the ability to soothe the mind and create a serene living room that promotes well-being. This palette also complements the use of natural materials in furniture pieces, such as rattan coffee tables, wicker dining chairs and bamboo armchairs.

Beyond the Sea

It’s no secret that coastal is one of the most popular interior design trends. Moving away from classic sky blue nautical themes, people are now blending contemporary elements to form this modern coastal look. This style combines the relaxing ambiance of coastal design with contemporary sophistication, resulting in a truly unique and captivating interior.

Traditional coastal homes often feature casual and comfortable furniture pieces such as oversized sofas and armchairs. However, contemporary finishes such as polished metals, glass, and smooth surfaces like marble or concrete add a touch of modernity to the space while still maintaining the coastal charm with gorgeous natural light. This blend of styles creates a visually interesting and balanced atmosphere.

Raw Beauty

There has been a noticeable shift in preferences when it comes to furniture. Instead of opting for fast made furniture pieces, people are seeking furniture that is built to last showcasing quality and design. With more curated décor and careful consideration of the environment, fast furniture is becoming much less common in living spaces.

As a result, natural materials are more popular than ever. From rattan to bamboo and even reclaimed timbers, people are creating beautiful sustainable interiors that can stand the test of time. By incorporating these raw materials, furniture pieces become one-of-a-kind with a rustic charm, lending an organic look to any indoor and outdoor space.
