The Newest Looks in Furniture This Spring

Open plan living with minimal décor has been a popular ongoing trend, but will this continue into the coming season? Keep reading to find out how you can transform your home interior with the hottest furniture trends for spring.

With the temperature rising and the days slowly getting longer, inviting new pieces and experimenting with different looks and styles is front of mind. Instead of reducing in the name of minimalism, we are now exploring spaces filled with pieces that reflect our personality, spaces that can quickly shift from work to play and finally relaxation.

IT'S ONLY Natural

The key to capturing the essence of spring is creating a fresh look and feel using bursts of colour and gorgeous botanicals. Handcrafted rattan furniture and wicker accents create a light and airy feeling in your space using natural materials. To continue this organic theme throughout your home, inject rattan using your décor, such as baskets, lamp shades and even a bar cart.

Loose Linen Dreaming...

Slipcover fabric sofas pair perfectly with rattan accents. Serving both looks and functionality, they are incredibly easy to clean by simply taking it to your local dry cleaner. Slipcover lounges offer the perfect relaxed look, making them a staple for any home in the warmer months of the year.

The main transition from winter is swapping out neutral decor for vibrant homewares. This includes vases, oversized artwork, table centrepieces and most importantly, food! Decorating with food items is a great way to inject colour into your space, especially around the kitchen or dining areas. Our favourite look is bright citrus tones using a bowl of lemons, oranges, grapefruits and more, which can also double as a refreshing snack.

THE TABLE'S SET

Designed for the entertainer, the Southport dining table is a handmade beauty using reclaimed pine salvaged from old building structures. With many unique and imperfect characteristics, this beautiful piece brings its history into any space. Paired with the Cristo and Skye Designer Chairs, achieve a showstopper interior using environmentally sustainable materials.

Style Tip: Don’t be afraid to mix and match your dining chairs to suit your space. A rule of thumb is to only switch out the chairs at the heads of the table. This gives a symmetrical look, like we have done here. Bookending your dining table with armchairs at either end can give your space an added sense of luxury.

Relaxed SOPHISTICATION

Creating a coastal interior is traditionally associated with loose linens, whitewash timber and soothing shades of blue. However, this look has been able to evolve into an elevated style using unconventional leather for a relaxed but sophisticated feel.

Harmonising coastal style with the everlasting comfort of leather is easier than you might think. Paired with rustic reclaimed timber, soft textiles and greenery, this brown leather sofa has transformed the space into a tranquil seaside interior without needing a linen touch.
